There are 2 kind of aircraft maintenance; Periodic and aperiodic.
Periodic maintenance is; transit, accommodation, ramp, A, B, C, D. Generally, Technicians control after each landing and pre-flight inpection the aircraft
+Daily maintenance (each 24 or 36 hours)
+A, B,C maintenance (each 300/400 fliying hours)
+Every 5 year maintenance (This is the bigest one.)
(*This maintenaces can change for each models of aircraft)
After taking aircraft to maintenance, they control aircraft. If it is operational, aircraft is ready for flightagain.

Yeah, maintenance is an important issue. It ıs a must for ongoing activities for an airline company because they provide transportation services each 365 day in a year. During this period technicians are looking for a wrong thing on an aircraft and they try to fix it, in order to supply safe air conditions each aircraft undergo maintenance period several times.
